Meet the Team
Having completed his education in Business Studies Nick's first management position was as a Production Controller for a plastics foil manufacturing PLC where he made a considerable impression on the management at the age of 21. He was ear-marked at board level for a career path within the Aaronson Bros. PLC group, unfortunately the untimely death of his father at the age of 48 led Nick to join the family sales agency company in 1982 at the age of 23. This company was already very well established in supplying wholesale and mail order companies including Findel, Empire Stores, J D Williams, GUS, Grattan, Fine Art, Green Shield and Littlewoods, which gave Nick a good grounding in sourcing and procurement, and in particular an in depth understanding of the UK mail order market.
Nick subsequently became a director of a Stockport based pine manufacturing company and this was the foundation of his background in furniture. In 1986 he started importing furniture and housewares from Europe.
Over the years the business has diversified into the procurement and distribution of electrical and digital products and also packaging services adapting to the ever changing needs of customers. Nick is now chairman of Mountrose International which encompasses 7 companies around the world, stretching from the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, and Australia.
Libby has over 30 years experience in accountancy and finance. She has been working with the Mountrose Companies since 1998 and works alongside the Chairman as his Personal Assistant. Their two children are also closely involved with the family business.
Sharron joined the company in July 2010 and has 22 years experience in office administration. She deals with supplier interaction, invoicing, accounting, customs admin and all other clerical work. With great organisational skills and attention to detail she can multitask and deal with all managerial entities.
